Battles in Rise of Mythos take place on a grid with up to four lanes, each lane is 12 squares across. You and your team’s characters are placed on one side of the grid, and your opponents will be on the opposite side. The goal of each battle is to have your forces reach the opposite side of the battlefield and reduce your opponents’ life to zero before they can do the same to you. You will be able to summon creatures in the first three squares on your side of the battlefield. Some creatures, like walls and towers, can be summoned as far away as five squares. Class skills may affect any square on the battlefield.
To be successful in Rise of Mythos, you’ll need to build a powerful deck to bring to battle and use the cards you draw in the right way to counter your opponent’s strategy.
There are several different ways to experience battle in Rise of Mythos:
There are three main methods to engage in Battles:
The PvE Campaign can be accessed via the world map and takes players through a series of thrilling, story based battles with special rewards for defeating each challenge.
In Challenge Hall, players can team up against powerful enemies in four player cooperative boss battles. These battles range in difficulty from relatively easy to incredibly difficult, so make sure to bring your best deck with you!
Finally, if you’re looking for the ultimate test of your deck building skills, you can attempt to climb your way through fifty levels of increasingly difficult challenges in Ascension Tower! As you advance through the different levels of the tower, you’ll receive tower coins which can be used to purchase powerful cards and other equipment.
Of course, if you really want to prove that you’ve got the best deck, you’ll need to participate in Player vs. Player combat in The Arena. Here, you can duel other players, team up with a friend for 2v2 competition, or prove your guild’s dominance in 4v4 combat. All of these modes offer Ranked and Practice play with special PvP rewards and cards which can be earned by competing in PvP.
